Caroline Flack has hit out at One Direction fans sending her death threats on Twitter following rumours she is now dating 17-year-old Harry Styles.
The Xtra Factor host was forced to post a public message, telling the haters to stop sending her nasty tweets while insisting she is just close friends with the singer.
She wrote: 'Hi one direction fans! To clarify. I'm close friends with harry.. He's one of the nicest people I know… I don't deserve death threats :) x.'
The pair have been romantically linked since they were rumoured to have shared a passionate kiss at an X Factor party last month.
After One Direction performed on the X Factor results show last weekend, the pair both ended up being ribbed by Olly Murs, Louis Walsh and Harry's band member Louis Tomlinson on spin-off show The Xtra Factor while they were both left awkwardly shuffling in their seats.
They were also apparently spotted enjoying a romantic date on Tuesday night at a restaurant in St Martin's Lane hotel before being whisked away in a taxi waiting outside for them.
But despite not coming forward to declare they are seeing each other, the duo seem to have embraced the rumours surrounding their private lives.
Cheeky Harry, who is 15 years Flack's junior, posted a picture on Twitter of holding a message that only serves to add to the speculation.
It read: 'To Flackster! Never too old... Lets make it happen!! Lots of Love Harry S.'
If they are a couple-in-hiding, it's likely they will now get heaps of backing as since Caroline posted the tweet hitting out at those that sent her death threats, she has been inundated with messages of support.
One user wrote: 'Whose giving @carolineflack1 death threats….. People are so stupid, she's lovely. Harry can see whoever he likes. Let tem be happy.'
