Diet Nadine might have been a better shout, or Nadine Light. It makes her sound like a computer programme update and is another sign she has been in LA too long.
The Girls Aloud singer is releasing a single, Sweetest High, under her new, weird moniker.
She says it's a dance track "not aimed at the charts" and has been performing it in small New York nightclubs.
Her debut solo album Insatiable flopped badly in the charts last year and the latest name change sounds like another career bungle to me.
But in her defence she has some great work ahead of her. She has also been writing tracks for Aretha Franklin.
She said: "I'm working on a Celine Dion project ? her comeback. Her people contacted my people and now I'm doing that.
And I wrote another song for my album with a great producer and he contacted me saying Aretha Franklin wanted to try my song.
"It's amazing to me that songwriting is an actual job."
After ten years in music, Nadine still finds the art of songwriting "amazing". Dear me.
She added: "You sit there with your cappuccino, singing about life. It's not like real life at all."
Somebody should take that cappuccino to the lab for tests.
